These Watchman earrings are hand-carved in yellow cedar by Haida artist Leon Ridley.

Watchmen are the posted lookouts in a village whose responsibility it is to warn and protect the village from intruders and enemies. 

Each earring, excluding the hook, measures approximately 1 1/4 inches or 3 1/4 centimeters high, and 7/16 of an inch or 1 1/4 centimeters in diameter.
