Product Description

This Eagle Platter was hand-carved in argillite by Haida artist Sharon Hitchcock. It was acquired from a collection and is in vrey good condition, with a few minor scuffs, which are reflected in the price.

The Eagle Symbol is known as “The master of skies” and is a symbol of great significance. He is believed to be the creature with the closest relationship with the creator. Soaring to great heights, he can travel between the physical and the spiritual world. He is said to be a messenger to the creator.

The platter measure approximately 8 1/2 inches or 21 1/2 centimeters long, 5 1/2 inches or 14 centimeters wide, and about 3/4 of an inch or 2 centimeters high.
