Product Description

This Haida Silver and Abalone Repoussé Raven Pendant is handmade by Haida artist Derek White from the Haida Nation. The pendant has been hand-carved in sterling silver and features two abalone inlays in the eyes of the Raven. The repoussé (hammered) finish gives the silver surface a gently textured patina.

Mischievous and curious, the Raven plays many important roles in Pacific Northwest Coast Culture. For some, he symbolizes creation, transformation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. He also symbolizes the unknown and shows that every person sees the world in a different way.

The pendant is about 2 inches or 5 centimeters wide and about 1 3/4 or 4 1/2 centimeters high.

A silver chain is not included but can be purchased separately .
