Product Description

This Sterling Silver and Abalone Raven Steals the Light Pendant is hand-carved by Derek White from the Haida Nation. The pendant features an abalone inlay in the Raven's eye and a round abalone inlay in the beak that represents the light.

Mischievous and curious, the Raven plays many important roles in Pacific Northwest Coast Culture. For some, he symbolizes creation, transformation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. He also symbolizes the unknown and shows that every person sees the world in a different way.

This pendant is 1 1/2 inches or 3 3/4 centimeters wide, and just over 1 1/4 inches or 3 1/2 centimeters tall. The bail is soldered onto the reverse side.
